Description
ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Department Coordinator to join our Exotics team!Job Purpose:
• Provide enthusiastic, compassionate, and professional care for clients and the referring vet community
• Assist in providing support to the department for the purpose of making the flow as efficient and streamlined as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Morning Routine
- Review the scheduled appointments for the day and the week
- Conduct appointment confirmations
- Collect pertinent medical records from other pDVMs
- Ensure New Client Forms are received and/or input
- Conduct follow-up calls from the previous day’s appointments
Procedural Tasks:
- Monitor Department voicemail and email to follow up on client requests
- Processing appointment requests
- Medical refill request
- Medical record requests
- General questions
- Act as the point of contact for transfers from referring doctors
- If the doctor is not available, collect pertinent information regarding the request to transfer and/or align with the client for an appointment
- Attempt to resolve client concerns or partner with Management to resolve
- Responsible for adding applicable note in patient files regarding patient status, medication, relevant conversations, etc.
- Responsible incoming and outgoing mail for department needs
Department Coordinators should be familiar with DA responsibilities as well in the event additional help is required. A strong teamwork mentality is required for this role in order to properly support the department in all aspects.
Compensation: $23-$26/hr, dependent upon experience
