Position Description:
The Temporary Seasonal Leadership Development Coordinator promotes the growth and development of student-athletes, and staff for the University of Louisville Football Program. This position focuses on developing leadership skills, and team building and moral enhancing activities and provides instruction and guidance on the principles of leadership and will conduct training on perseverance, mental focus, planning and preparation and leadership communication.
This is a seasonal position reporting to the Chief of Staff for Football.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide instruction and guidance on the principles of leadership to student-athletes, football staff, and other athletic department personnel.
- Conduct training with football players and staff on perseverance, mental focus, planning and preparation, and leadership communication.
- Design, develop, implement and assess team building and morale enhancing activities for the football program.
- Assist in developing a positive and inclusive culture focused on values driven initiatives.
- Serve as motivational speaker at football-related events and to groups that support the program, like donors, community organizations, and fan groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working experience in a collegiate Division I Football Program.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
