Description
This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring that quality patient care is provided across multiple sleep clinics and/or sleep labs throughout a designated geographic area. This includes developing, managing, and achieving budgetary and financial objectives, quality improvement initiatives, program service development, and personnel management for all assigned locations. The position works closely with providers and other members of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest value sub-specialty care.
Requirements
The Sleep Services Supervisor is responsible for administering accurate polysomnographic studies, ensuring highquality PSG recordings, and supporting the efficient daily operations of the sleep lab. This role oversees technologist scheduling, coaching, and data organization for physician interpretation, while mentoring entrylevel staff and serving as an ASTEP instructor. Duties include conducting checkins with direct reports, supporting improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to AASM and CMS standards, maintaining and troubleshooting testing equipment, managing supply levels, and assuming manager responsibilities when needed. The supervisor will promote patient satisfaction, participate in quality improvement projects, uphold departmental protocols, and ensure completion of required training and competencies, along with performing all responsibilities expected of a registered sleep technologist, including oncall duties. Requires a minimum of two years’ experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist, current RPSGT, RST, or RRT-SDS credential, and active BLS certification.
