Job Description:
The Special Assignment Coordinator position is one in which the incumbent may be assigned to any department throughout Roger Williams University. The incumbent will report directly to the assigned supervisor, assisting the department with a variety of duties, depending upon the department's need.
Varied Duties
The incumbent will perform a variety of duties that may include but not be limited to the following: Assist with gathering information.Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations. Document processes, procedures, etc. Perform data collection and data entry. Operate and/or maintain equipment. May provide guidance to work study or student employees. Attend events, meetings or other assigned activities.
Additional Functions
Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or supervisors' designee.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
One year of related experience.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Must be highly organized, able to set priorities to accomplish tasks, and work independently to meet established timelines.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external contacts and to maintain consistent and frequent communication with supervisor.
Ability to work flexible hours and work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education.
Knowledge of the University's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
