| Job Summary | The Student Coordinator will work closely with different Smart Campus leaders to advance a multitude of Smart Campus initiatives. This role involves supporting the collaborative integration of iPads, esports, and the downtown digital studio across campus. Working as a part of a team, students will gain hands-on experience in planning events, workshops, and academic technology initiatives throughout the academic year. They will also communicate with UK affiliated clubs, organizations, departments, and external partners to strengthen cross-campus and community collaboration. Individuals in this role will be encouraged to provide insights and feedback on how Smart Campus can further foster community engagement through its variety of initiatives. Become fully integrated with Smart Campus initiatives Work closely with Smart Campus initiative leaders and team members Communicate and Coordinate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders Develop an understanding of the basics of project management and event planning Work on-site at events, providing support for set-up and breakdown Develop and pitch creative ideas that increase student engagement with Smart Campus initiatives, including esports events, workshops, social media content, and other interactive experiences Track social media metrics, online brand presence, event attendence, and feedback using applicable tools Use collected data to develop and improve future events Gather feedback from events and other activations to help improve student engagement Perform esports lounge attendant operations if needed, outlined below: Guest Relations: Greet and assist visitors; provide tours and front-desk support; address questions and ensure guest safety. Facility Maintenance: Keep key areas clean, organized, and secure; report maintenance needs; safeguard equipment. Technical Proficiency: Provide basic tech support for esports and Smart Campus equipment. General Duties: Ensure safety and contribute ideas to grow a healthy community through each of our endeavors. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Detail-oriented with a focus on supporting operational efficiency. Basic Technological proficiency Eagerness to learn and develop new ideas Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience or familiarity with event coordination. |
