- Senior Systems Administrator
Description
The Senior Systems Administrator at Columbus Water & Power, Division of Water Reclamation, will act as the system owner for the backend network supporting two plantwide process control systems and a collection system control system. The Senior Systems Administrator will manage a team of system administrators and conduct routine maintenance, server backup and security patching, hardware support and replacement, and software support and replacement on distributed human machine interfaces and network infrastructure in an industrial setting. The senior systems administrator will work closely with City Department of Technology staff on OT/IT interface, maintain compliance with City, State, and Federal IT/OT security requirements, and coordinate with capital improvement projects that interface with the plantwide process control system. The senior systems administrator will develop and implement an annual budget for necessary software/hardware and interface with City purchasing groups to procure the goods and services needed to support the OT system. This position may involve traveling to other Water Reclamation facilities to provide support of SCADA hardware and software at these facilities. This position will work Monday-Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm.
Preferred experience:
Experience with deployment and troubleshooting of GE iFix and GE historian
Experience with a multi-site, multiple windows domain network
Experience with Cisco fiber enabled network switches
Experience with deployment and maintenance of Dell servers and workstations
Experience in industrial automation and PLC based control and monitoring systems
Requirements
Possession of a bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in computer applications, systems administration, or systems analysis. Substitution(s): Possession of an associate degree and an additional two (2) years of experience as listed above, or valid certification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Window Server, HP-UX CSA (Hewlett Packard Unix Certified Systems Administrator), or comparable certification and an additional two (2) years of experience as listed above, or an additional four (4) years of experience as listed above may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
