Your role
As Senior Global Product Manager, you will drive the strategy, growth, and innovation of Symrise's global Botanicals portfolio. Working at the intersection of market insights, customer needs, and product innovation, you will identify growth opportunities, lead cross-functional projects, and shape the future direction of our botanical ingredient offering.
Product Portfolio Management
- Develop and implement portfolio strategies and annual operational plans for the botanical ingredient range
- Monitor and report sales figures, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Proactively drive product range growth by staying abreast of market trends and customer needs, supported by market intelligence tools
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand the botanical portfolio, including into adjacent application areas
Product Development and Coordination
- Lead projects to develop new products and improve existing ones
- Manage custom development projects in collaboration with key customers and internal stakeholders
- Address day-to-day portfolio-related requests from internal and external partners
- Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Raw Material Management, Regulatory, Product Safety, Patent, Production, Planning, and Quality Control
- Manage technical projects at customer level in cooperation with sales teams and testing laboratories
Market Intelligence and Business Development
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and technological developments in botanicals
- Identify opportunities for application of botanical ingredients in adjacent categories (e.g. Oral Care, other personal care segments)
- Support technology scouting activities and contribute to building the innovation pipeline
Marketing and Communication
- Create relevant product information documents such as brochures, presentations, and technical materials in coordination with the marketing team
- Conduct customer presentations and support congress participation
- Train sales teams on the portfolio and new product developments
- Contribute to communication activities showcasing Symrise's expertise in botanicals
About you
- Bachelor in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Natural Sciences, or a related field; Master's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, marketing, or business development in the cosmetic or ingredients industry
- Experience or interest in natural or botanical-based ingredients is considered an advantage
- Good understanding of:
- cosmetic ingredient markets and applications
- basic concepts related to natural raw materials
- market trends such as sustainability and naturality
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional and customer-driven projects, including custom developments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and international teams
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Solid IT skills, particularly in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
