Description
Surveyors know Berntsen as the top-quality provider of survey and utility marking products in the country. We are looking for an experienced sales professional to expand sales to our top government and engineering firm accounts.
The Sales Manager for Berntsen International, Inc is responsible for driving growth of Berntsen marking products with target accounts in the survey, AEC, government, and utility world. Berntsen has been a leader in survey and utility marking products for over 50 years, with over 5000 customers annually and an unparalleled reputation in the US surveyor world. More recently, Berntsen has enhanced its portfolio with RFID and technology-embedded marking products that connect to GIS and digital management systems.
As the Sales Manager for our marking products, you will identify and close sales opportunities with engineering and governmental entities that are targets for Berntsen’s traditional high-quality marking products and Berntsen’s new connected marking products.
To accomplish these goals, the Sales Manager will:
- Identify and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and related opportunities
- Meet with strategic buyers and project managers to sell and spec Berntsen products
- Represent Berntsen at major industry events
- Understand and demonstrate Berntsen’s product portfolio with target customers
- Assist in delivery and deployment of product
In addition to achieving sales goals, the Sales Manager is expected to perform the following:
- Document sales interactions using the company CRM (Salesforce)
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and field sales
- Provide customer feedback for new product development and management
Requirements
What we need:
- 5+ years of proven B2B sales success
- Strong understanding of surveying and engineering industries
- High energy and organization skills with a focus on getting results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM (Salesforce ideal)
- Ability to sell across departments in the target customer base – engineering, project management, and operations.
Preferred experience:
- Knowledge of GIS (ESRI) and uses in survey and utility marking
- Knowledge of government acquisition requirements and opportunities
