The Sales Manager- Executive Meeting Manager is a fully competent, entry-level sales professional who supports and manages group and meeting sales for Wild Dunes Resort. This position is responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting and event space, and resort services to corporate and group clients, while coordinating with internal teams to deliver exceptional, high-touch experiences reflective of a destination resort. This is not a Remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Sell guest rooms, meeting facilities, and resort services to corporate, association, and group customers
- Solicit and generate new business while managing assigned customer accounts
- Prepare, present, and negotiate effective proposals and contracts
- Conduct professional, engaging site inspections highlighting Wild Dunes' meeting venues, accommodations, and resort amenities
- Utilize Hyatt sales systems and tools to manage accounts, pipelines, and sales activity
Client & Event Management
- Serve as the primary sales contact for assigned meetings and events from inquiry through transition to event services
- Participate in and, when appropriate, lead event meetings, pre-convention meetings, and internal sales meetings
- Coordinate customer service requirements with Conference Services, Events, Rooms, and Food & Beverage teams
- Ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and consistently delivered
Administrative & Team Collaboration
- Maintain accurate, well-organized documentation, contracts, reports, and sales files
- Work closely with the assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff
- Collaborate as a team member with sales and catering colleagues in a destination resort environment
- Assist with forecasting, reporting, and departmental initiatives as assigned

Qualifications
Required
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced, resort environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge and business systems
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
- Able to prioritize and demonstrate excellent Time Management
Preferred
- 1-3 years of hotel or resort sales experience, or comparable hospitality experience
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field
- Previous training or demonstrated skills in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentations
Work Environment & Expectations
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for site visits or group events
- Ability to walk the resort property and support on-site group programs as needed
- Professional appearance and commitment to Hyatt and Wild Dunes service standards
