Job Summary The Research Project Coordinator I plans, develops, implements, manages, and reports on a multidisciplinary research program. This position uses project management skills to ensure timely progress. It meets goals and priorities while complying with all rules, regulations, and funding constraints. Essential Functions of the Role * Works with team managers and others to define strategic initiatives, scope, goals, and timelines of the research program. * Develops program budgets and ensures budget requirements are met. Reviews program-related contracts and approves invoices within the program budget. * Prepares documents such as clinical protocols, investigator brochures, case report forms, informed consent documents, and portions of IND applications. * Serves as the program's liaison with internal and external departments, including acting as a local point of contact for assigned sites. Conducts regular (monthly) in-person site visits to support operations and engagement. * Leads and supports site engagement initiatives, building relationships with site leadership and ensuring alignment with program goals and expectations. * Coordinates supply orders and logistics to ensure sites have necessary materials for study execution. * Supports onboarding and orientation of new research sites, ensuring readiness and compliance with protocol and operational requirements. * Provides training and ongoing support to site staff for staff in CTX region, ensuring adherence to study procedures and best practices. * Manages and resolves operational issues, including biospecimen-related concerns, workflow barriers, and site escalations. * Provides backup support for ServiceNow ticket resolution to ensure timely response and continuity of operations. * Fosters relationships with academia, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. Maintains current relationships and establishes new ones to support program goals. * Designs and implements processes and procedures to ensure advancement of the program's strategic initiatives. Provides guidance to program team members. Interacts regularly with the team to establish resource needs. Coordinates activities of operational areas and identifies deliverables and target due dates. * Organizes and conducts team meetings to ensure adherence to strategic initiatives, goals, budgets, and timelines. * Other duties as assigned. Key Success Factors * Proven written and oral communication skills. * Proven leadership skills in project management, including project management tools and techniques. * Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint. * Ability to manage time reactive projects in order to meet deadlines. * Exceptional ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
