Description

The Arizona Education Association is seeking four Regional Field Organizers to help engage members. The Regional Field Organizers will work with the Campaign Coordinator to ensure AEA’s advocacy goals are reached.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate with the Campaign Coordinator on organizing targeted daily canvasses.
• Regional Field Organizers will cut canvassing lists, track and manage data, and send reports to the Campaign Coordinator after every canvass. 
• Train and assist members in canvassing. 
• Attend and provide support to member canvassers. 
• Ensure each canvass is tracked in VAN. 
• Assist with material drop-off at canvass launch locations. 
• Attend weekly Campaign Meetings and provide regional updates on goals. 
• Compile data for AEA’s post-campaign reporting requirements.
• Provide AEA with completed W9 and signed contract.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

Desired Qualifications: 

• Preferred 2-3 years political or labor organizing experience.  
• Preferred VAN experience, creating lists, cutting turf, and training MiniVan users. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Ability to work in a coalition setting, delivering results to a diverse set of stakeholders. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple goals. 
• Ability to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, and meet deadlines. 
• Availability to work weekends and evenings. 
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Google Sheets. 
• Access to a phone, laptop/desktop computer, and high-speed internet connection. 
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel.
