We are excited to offer a rare opportunity for a CT/MRI Supervisor to join our Radiology team. In this role, you’ll blend leadership with hands-on expertise—guiding a talented team of technologists while serving as a subject-matter expert in your modality. You’ll play a key role in coordinating daily workflow, supporting your team, and ensuring the highest standards of safe, effective patient care across our 24/7 CT and MRI operations. As these areas continue to grow, your leadership will be essential in shaping both team success and patient outcomes.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week evening shift position.
Our CT Technologists perform a wide range of advanced exams, combining great technical skill with the ability to navigate complex requests from specialized clinics. From Cardiac CT to 3D Interventional procedures, no two days are the same. As the only Level I Trauma Center in New Hampshire, we care for high-acuity patients and perform critical, time-sensitive imaging, empowering our technologists to practice at the top of their license alongside a highly skilled, supportive team.
Our MRI Technologists thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, performing a diverse array of advanced imaging studies. These include Breast Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Functional Brain Imaging, Multi-Parametric Prostate Imaging, and a variety of MRA studies. We are offering a $20,000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *External hires only, and certain conditions apply.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervises department personnel, providing short- and long-term objectives by which employee performance is monitored.
- Acts as a preceptor to new staff, providing instruction in job responsibilities, overseeing job performance, and offering constructive feedback during their orientation period. Provides ongoing support in career development related to business operations as staff members move beyond their orientation period.
- Assists in the development of team and individual goals and delivers performance feedback.
- Makes recommendations regarding the hiring, firing, salary rates, and titles of employees and potential employees to management.
- Collaborates with the technical staff in organizing and directing the section's workflow. Develops training, evaluates technical skills, and schedules staff.
- Maintains a high level of technical skills to perform and teach all of the section procedures, and acts as a technical resource for staff. Identifies, develops, and implements new procedures.
- Monitors the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure work is completed. Engages in regular rounding throughout the section to judge the effectiveness of the workflow, utilization of personnel and supplies, and the general ethical and professional atmosphere.
- Plans and implements continuing education programs to promote a high level of technical expertise and compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Monitors QA/QI programs relevant to the section and the Radiology Department goals and objectives. Directs personnel in adhering to quality control procedures.
- Prepares personnel budgets, operations expenses, and capital equipment. Monitors and analyzes workflow to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborates with RIS/PACS Manager to ensure accurate, current exam codes. Reviews exam codes on an annual basis and/or as needed, relevant to CPT and billing changes for imaging exams.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree with 3 years in the field (one year of which was in a leadership role) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills by interacting professionally and appropriately with physicians, staff, and administration.
- Successful completion and graduate of an educational program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEA) as applicable.
- Preferably hold advanced level certification(s) in specialty area(s) of responsibility/oversight.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Radiographer NH OR Radiation Therapist NH OR Medical Imaging/Rad Ther - NH OR Magnetic Resonance Tech - NH
- BLS within 30 days
- Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (RT - R) OR Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RT - MR) OR Certified MRI Tech (MRI)
