The Role
This is the engine of our Alabama territory. As our Public Sector Account Manager, you own the day-to-day relationships with municipal and public sector clients across the state - managing active accounts, surfacing grant and bid opportunities, driving aftermarket revenue, and setting the Territory Sales Director up for high-value meetings. Success is measured simply: conversations held, appointments set, opportunities created, and revenue supported.
What You'll Do
- Own the full relationship lifecycle for Alabama municipalities and public sector accounts - from prospecting to renewal
- Maintain consistent outreach to active clients and targeted prospects via calls, email, and follow-up
- Identify grant opportunities and connect clients to funding they'd otherwise miss
- Schedule qualified meetings and manage pipeline activity in CRM
- Support proposals, quotes, and contract prep
- Track and report on KPIs and sales metrics
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in inside sales or business development, preferably in professional or technology services
- Proven track record hitting sales targets and closing business
- Strong communicator - written, verbal, and interpersonal
- High EQ; you build trust quickly and manage expectations well
- Comfortable in CRM systems and sales tools
- Public sector or municipal government experience is a strong plus
