8 News NOW - KLAS is looking for a creative and energetic person to fill the position of Creative Producer. This is a fun and challenging role that offers the right person an opportunity to be a part of one of the nation's top television broadcasting companies!

The ideal candidate will be experienced in many skill sets and that person could be YOU! One of those skill sets is creative writer. You will be responsible for helping write compelling stories that fit in 30 seconds or less. From that, you will have the opportunity to be the director, videographer, editor, and graphic designer to help tell that story.

But wait, that's not all! The successful candidate will be collaborating with a team of creative individuals just like yourself. You will be instrumental in helping with the station's image spots, topical promos, and other in-house projects. Occasionally, you will have a role in our daily lifestyle show, known as Las Vegas Now, shooting and editing long form segments.

• Be the liaison between our station and Nexstar's corporate production and graphics hub. You will provide them with all essential elements including but not limited to video footage, logos, project vision/direction, timelines, and more.
• Have a general understanding of television station branding and promotional initiatives and can lead projects to help made station managements' vision become reality.
• Write, shoot and edit commercials for clients, News, marketing, CBS network and special projects

• Meet directly with clients and work closely with a sales team to develop strong, professional relationships
• Direct the on-camera performances of clients, professional actors, and News talent
• Organize and coordinate shoots with talent agencies and businesses
• Act as station photographer and create collateral for publication when requested.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

• Minimum of three years of experience in writing, shooting, editing, and lighting, photography and graphic design a plus
• Have advanced knowledge of the post-production process, including media management, and encoding video to various formats
• Exhibit advanced editing expertise in Adobe Creative cloud, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition and Media Encoder
• Knowledge of Sony FX 30 camera or similar a plus
• A valid driver's license and good driving record is a must
• Attention to detail and strong personal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team
• Must have exceptional creativity, combined with a flexible, get it done mentality
• Must be able to lift, set up, and operate equipment up to 25 lbs

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The Commercial Producer must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, the Commercial Producer must be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
