Description
ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT:
Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Provides leadership for the patient coding, billing and collection process within the scope of state and federal rules and regulations.
Provides support and analytics that maximize revenue cycle opportunities.
Directly responsible for maintaining and optimizing all revenue cycle fee schedules and settings in PM.
Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive financial accounting system.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
Manage processes for financial reporting on behalf of the RVA.
Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Assists in developing management reports to enhance financial accountability.
Assists compliance personnel in developing monitoring tools and coordinating internal audits of client and billing files.
Perform all other duties assigned by the President/CEO.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Manage Account Analysts, providing backup and training, as well as supporting accounts receivables with claims expediting and appeals.
Manage bookkeeper to ensure accurate input of daily payable and receivables, rebates and drug profit distribution.
Monitor and audit reconciliation of EFTs, credit card transactions and cash deposits.
Cash Flow management of checking and credit cards transactions
Oversee Physician salary calculations and process payroll biweekly with any pay rate changes, fund retirement deductions into Empower and QB import.
Prepare quarterly reports. Review, and analyze financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and statement of Cashflows) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support year-end financial reports and tax returns external CPA to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting.
Manage asset inventory with accurate recording, depreciation schedules and tangible tax returns.
Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements around process and controls.
Facility management of building maintenance
Manage Clinical Science program revenues and expenses, produce quarterly reports and bonus calculations.
Perform compliance audits
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Other duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years managerial experience. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or health care administration
