Overview

The Outside Operations Supervisor creates a positive experience by assisting guests and members with outside services and providing guidance to other Guest Services associates.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
• Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks or hear.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
• Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly works in wet or humid condition (non-weather).
• Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Works with the Tournament Coordinator to organize all groups/outings taking place on a specific day and prepares staff and facility for these events.
• Greet golfers at bag drop and unload their golf bags from their carts.
• Maintain accurate records of golfers renting clubs, service rental customers, and clean rental clubs upon return.
• Ensure the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area and parking lot, and share responsibility for cleaning golf shops, restrooms, and patio area.
• Inventory and control all guest supplies.
• Assist in monitoring and policing player service activity and etiquette, and educate players regarding course policy, current cart policy, and speed of play.
• Maintain the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
• Prepare golf carts for play following Troon Golf standards and ensure proper cart staging during the day.
• Assist players by changing golf spikes and cleaning golf clubs.
• Perform range maintenance, present practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, den caddies and/or ball pyramids, and maintain ball inventory throughout the day.
• May assist with food and beverage activities.
• May direct start of play.
• Assist the department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, and make recommendations regarding hiring, performance evaluation, rewards, and discipline.
• Assist in coordinating department team members including Guest Services Attendants and Starters.
• Assist in monitoring business volume forecast and planning manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses accordingly.
• Assist manager in communicating changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
