- Mental Health and Counseling Network Coordinator
Description
The Mental Health and Counseling Coordinator oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of comprehensive mental health services within assigned schools, ensuring compliance with state, district, and federal regulations. Operating within a multi-tiered system of support, the coordinator leads district and school-based mental health teams, supervises coaches, specialists, and providers, and drives continuous improvement through culturally sustaining, neurobiologically informed, and evidence-based practices. This role also provides professional development, interprets legal and ethical standards, and fosters collaboration across divisions and with community partners to enhance mental health programming district-wide.

Requirements
SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS PREFERRED.
- Master's degree or higher in social work, school counseling, or school psychology.
- Five years of combined experience in K-12 education in the service provision and leadership of school & district mental health.
- Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and office equipment required at hire.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, personnel management, conflict management, verbal de-escalation, and facilitation skills required.
- Knowledge of and skills in the coaching and implementation of current counseling modalities and techniques, suicide prevention and intervention, crisis intervention, child development, and neurobiology.
- Understanding of laws regarding pediatric mental health and school provision of mental health services and supports (state and federal).
- Professional licensure through the Colorado Department of Education as a Special Service Provider in school psychology, school social work, or school counseling.
- Directly and indirectly supervise multiple employees in the Department of Mental Health & Counseling that include School Psychologists, School Social Workers, School Counselors, MH&C Coaches and Consultants (SSPs on Special Assignment), specialists, intern supervisors, and classified staff.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to compare, analyze, communicate, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, and negotiate. The employee is frequently required to coordinate, instruct, compile, and copy.
