Description
Position: Member Relations & Sales Associate
Status: Full-Time
Description: The Ohio State Bar Association (Ohio Bar) seeks a full-time Member Relations & Sales Associate to serve as a trusted advisor, relationship manager, and primary point of contact for our members, prospective members, and the public. This highly visible, outward-facing role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping individuals connect with the programs, services, and benefits that best meet their needs. Whether assisting a member with a question, helping a prospective member understand the value of joining the Ohio Bar, troubleshooting an issue, or identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement, this position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional member experience and supporting membership growth. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a consultative approach, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
Who We Are at the Ohio Bar
We are a fun, hardworking group of approximately 35 employees from diverse backgrounds. We are passionate about our members—Ohio attorneys, judges, paralegals, and legal administrators—and the justice system. We use our talents to help our members serve clients and communities across Ohio. On any given day, you might find us producing statewide Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs, collaborating with courts and law schools, advocating before the Ohio General Assembly or U.S. Congress, advancing access to justice initiatives, or hosting members at one of our popular tailgate events.
Who Our Ideal Match Is
Perhaps you have worked in member services, customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, professional services, or another fast-paced, customer-facing environment where building relationships and helping people are part of your daily work. Our ideal candidate is a confident communicator who enjoys connecting with others, builds trust quickly, and remains professional and composed during challenging conversations. This individual is highly organized, adaptable, and proactive; takes ownership of issues and follows them through to resolution; and thrives in a collaborative environment. Equally comfortable assisting a member with a service need or helping a prospective member understand the value of an Ohio Bar membership, this person views every interaction as an opportunity to build relationships, solve problems, and strengthen engagement. Most importantly, the ideal candidate is energized by helping Ohio Bar members, prospective members, and the public access the resources, benefits, and support they need.
