Location: Remote - based in Egypt
About the role
Pearson is seeking an experienced marketing professional to lead the regional marketing strategy for our vocational and technical qualifications across the Middle East and Europe. This is a high-impact role focused on driving awareness, adoption, and growth of Pearson's skills and vocational portfolio with governments, institutions, and education partners.
You will work cross-functionally with regional sales, product, and global marketing teams to create and execute strategic campaigns that support market expansion and strengthen Pearson's position as a trusted partner in skills development.
Key responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the regional marketing strategy to drive growth of Pearson vocational qualifications.
- Translate global brand and product strategies into effective regional marketing plans.
- Identify priority markets, audiences, and opportunities for expansion.
- Own the regional marketing budget and measure ROI across initiatives.
Demand Generation & Campaigns
- Plan and deliver integrated B2G and B2B marketing campaigns.
- Drive lead generation and pipeline growth in partnership with regional sales teams.
- Oversee digital marketing, content, events, PR, and partner marketing activities.
- Localise messaging to resonate with diverse cultural and market contexts.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Collaborate closely with government relations, sales, product and partnerships teams.
- Support major tenders and strategic bids with compelling marketing collateral.
- Build strong relationships with regional partners, ministries and education stakeholders.
Brand & Positioning
- Strengthen Pearson's reputation as a leader in vocational education and skills.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all markets and channels.
- Develop thought-leadership content and case studies that showcase impact.
Insights & Performance
- Use market data and analytics to inform strategy and optimise campaigns.
- Track KPIs including awareness, engagement, pipeline and revenue contribution.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
Skills & experience
Essential
- Significant experience in senior marketing roles (ideally B2B or B2G).
- Proven track record delivering regional or international marketing strategies.
- Strong campaign planning, demand generation and digital marketing expertise.
- Experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capability.
- Fluent English (Arabic or other European languages a plus).
Desirable
- Experience in education, EdTech, qualifications, or skills sectors.
- Experience marketing to governments or large institutions.
- Experience working in the Middle East and/or Europe regions.
