Job Description:
Worcester State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member in Marketing beginning fall 2027.
Qualified applicants must possess an earned Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment. ABD candidates will be considered if degree requirements are completed prior to the start date. Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly achievement, student engagement, and service.
The Department offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Marketing. The Graduate School offers a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Marketing. Candidates who can contribute to both undergraduate and graduate programs are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing. Primary instructional needs include:
- Principles of Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Research Methods, Retailing.
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Marketing communications, Digital marketing, Marketing research, Marketing analytics and measurement and Consumer behavior.
Additional responsibilities include student advising and mentoring, maintaining an active program of scholarly and professional achievement, curriculum development, and service to the department and university.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or a closely related field from an accredited institution (ABD considered).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Ability to teach across multiple areas of the business curriculum.
- Experience incorporating technology, analytics, and experiential learning into the classroom.
- Commitment to supporting a diverse student population.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, benefited, exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and discipline, with a minimum established by the Appendix O of the MSCA contract. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2027.
