POSITION SUMMARY
The Health and Wellness Coordinator will work directly with the Health and Wellness Director to implement new SOKY programing as well as expand and enhance current offerings. This role will have opportunities to lead certain projects while assisting others. Applicants should have strong skills in data management with a growth mindset.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Will lead Health Messenger tasks.
o Coordinating training opportunities.
o Implementing them at SOKY Healthy Athlete events.
Take lead on sharing virtual wellness content weekly with T4L athletes and others who are involved.
Will take lead of SOKY Healthy Athlete Facebook page including providing content, driving membership and fostering engagement.
Will expand Bingocize statewide while utilizing Athlete Ambassadors/ Health Messengers and fostering relationships with day-programs.
o Will track Bingocize participation.
o Will track program Health data.
o Will track facilitator delivery totals for payment.
Will lead data entry efforts for HA screenings, T4L, Bingocize, Fitness Comp, etc.
Create log/ database of athletes who need follow-up care.
Collaborate on potential ways of implementing Family Health Forums.
Collaborate on potential ways to implement Fitness Captains.
Collaborate on potential ways to improve coaches education (within fitness).
Collaborate on ways of utilizing SO Fitness App.
Will assist with other health and wellness initiatives as needed.
Requirements
SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/ GED (health background preferred)
Ability to multi-task
Proficient in data entry/ tracking
Positive attitude and work ethic
Futuristic mindset, desire to expand current programing
Ability to work independently
Willingness to take constructive criticism which fosters growth
Computer proficient, have solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and Adobe
