Overview

Full-time guest service supervisor position at Old Overton Club supporting a fast-paced hospitality-focused property. The role oversees outside guest services operations, helps coordinate daily groups and outings, supports golf cart staging and practice facility presentation, assists golfers with bag handling and club services, and supports department operations and staffing.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work with the Tournament Coordinator to organize all groups/outings taking place on a specific day and prepare staff and facility for events.
• Greet golfers at bag drop and unload golf bags from carts.
• Maintain accurate records for club rentals, assist customers renting clubs, and clean rental clubs upon return.
• Ensure the upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot, and share responsibility for cleaning golf shops, restrooms, and patio area.
• Inventory and control all guest supplies.
• Assist in monitoring and policing player service activity and etiquette, and educate players on course policy, cart policy, and speed of play.
• Maintain the cart storage and cart wash down areas in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
• Prepare golf carts for play following Troon Golf standards and ensure proper staging during the day.
• Assist players by changing golf spikes and cleaning golf clubs.
• Perform range maintenance including presenting the practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, den caddies and/or ball pyramids, and maintaining ball inventory throughout the day.
• May assist with food and beverage activities.
• May direct start of play.
• Assist the department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; make recommendations regarding hiring, performance evaluation, rewards, and discipline; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Assist in coordinating department team members including Guest Services Attendants and Starters.
• Assist in monitoring business volume forecast and planning for manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
• Assist manager in communicating changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.
