Role Description:
As the Support Coordinator, you will serve as a key resource for girls, families, and volunteer troop leaders throughout the annual product programs (Girl Scout Cookie sale and Fall Product sale), providing hands-on support to ensure goals are met and participants are set up for success.
Essential Duties
- Communicate with program vendors
- Serve as the primary contact for digital platforms supporting staff, volunteers, caregivers and girls
- Act as the primary liaison and help desk for new Girl Scout troops
- Serve as the subject matter expert on program procedures and guidelines
- Assist with annual training for staff, volunteers, caregivers and girls
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications department
- Support the planning and execution of timely delivery to volunteers by attending deliveries, coordinating communications, and transporting product as needed
- Serve as the primary contact for Cookie cupboards in the Pittsburgh area and for the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show
- Support initiatives to increase girl participation
- Monitor progress of and maintain records for the product programs
Requirements
Skills & Core Competencies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a continually changing work environment
- Top-notch communicator – writes well, confidently presents to groups, facilitates effective two-way communications, and communicates clearly and understandably to a variety of audiences
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and willingness and ability to learn new systems
- Working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
- Ability and willingness to work and maintain a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends during the busy time for the Product Program Department
- Full-time position, 35 hours per week
- Reliable transportation required for regular travel throughout assigned areas and to any of our 27 counties served by Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Degree in business, communications, marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
