Finance Coordinator
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time, employed by two campaigns (Temporary / Campaign Cycle through November 2026)
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience ($5k-8k/month plus health stipend)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Finance Coordinator to support fundraising across two distinct ballot measure campaigns. This role is ideal for someone interested in political fundraising, public policy, or campaign management who wants hands-on experience in major donor fundraising operations. The Finance Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Fundraising Consultant and campaign leadership by managing donor pipelines, preparing materials, coordinating call time, and ensuring consistent follow-up.This position will split time approximately 50/50 between the two campaigns, requiring strong time management and the ability to track parallel workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
- Donor Prospecting & Research
- Identify and research prospective donors, including individuals, organizations, and institutional funders
- Build and maintain prospect lists, including tracking giving history, affiliations, and capacity
- Monitor political and civic networks for new fundraising opportunities
- Fundraising Materials & Pitch Preparation
- Draft and refine donor briefing materials, including: one-pagers, pitch decks, talking points for campaign leadership
- Customize materials for different audiences (labor, business, advocacy, etc.)
- Prepare background memos for meetings and fundraising calls
- Pipeline & Donor Outreach Support
- Maintain a detailed donor tracking system
- Schedule and staff call time for campaign leadership including preparing call sheets / briefing notes and tracking outcomes
- Draft follow-up emails and ensure timely follow-up
- Coordinate with finance/compliance staff
- Track incoming contributions and outstanding asks
- Ensure proper disclosures and forms are provided and recorded
- General Coordination and Support
- Assist in planning and executing donor events
- Support general finance team needs as they arise
Requirements
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in political campaigns, fundraising, public affairs, nonprofit development, or related field (internships included)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive donor information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets/Drive)
- Familiarity with San Francisco civic, political, or development landscape is a plus
Term & Schedule
- Through November 2026 (full cycle), with immediate start preferred
- Occasional evening/weekend work and travel within San Francisco required
