Description
King Kamehameha Golf Club, located in Wailuku, HI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Director of Sales! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Salary Range: $85,000-$90,000 (plus commission)
General Purpose
Develop and implement comprehensive sales, marketing, membership, and retention strategies that maximize revenue, increase membership growth, strengthen member and guest satisfaction, and support the club/resort's overall strategic goals. This position oversees membership sales, group and leisure sales, catering and banquet sales initiatives, and retention programs while ensuring exceptional service standards and operational excellence.

Essential Duties
- Develops and implements annual sales and membership plans designed to maximize profitability, increase memberships, and achieve revenue goals.
- Directs and manages all membership, group, leisure, catering, banquet, recreation, and reservations sales activities.
- Develops and implements strategies to meet membership recruitment and retention goals.
- Maintains club membership database and CRM system, including membership records, transfers, resignations, waiting lists, and contact information.
- Oversees administrative processing of membership applications and ensures all procedures are consistently followed.
- Assists prospective members in fulfilling application requirements and conducts tours and orientation programs for new members.
- Promotes club activities, events, and membership opportunities through networking, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
- Develops and implements prospective member events, referral programs, and sales promotions.
- Conducts sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings.
- Develops rates, group ceilings, and deployment strategies through competitive analysis, market segmentation, and demand forecasting.
- Prepares and compiles reports including annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, membership activity reports, and monthly sales reports.
- Tracks and analyzes the performance of sales and membership initiatives through CRM and reporting systems.
- Works with management and committees to coordinate club social, golf, lodging, and recreational activities.
- Co-chairs Membership Committee and participates in other related committees as assigned.
- Maintains club history files, including exit interviews and membership trend analysis.
- Coordinates public relations efforts, newsletters, brochures, media events, and communication initiatives with the Communications Department.
- Interacts with Chambers of Commerce, civic organizations, Realtors, city officials, and community organizations to promote and market the club/resort.
- Conducts various meetings including staff meetings, business reviews, strategic sales meetings, and yield management meetings.
- Develops and administers sales and customer service training programs for staff.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, rewarding, and disciplining associates within the department.
- Ensures effective orientation and ongoing development for all new associates.
- Monitors business volume forecasts and adjusts staffing, productivity, and operational expenses accordingly.
- Maintains excellent service standards to achieve member and guest satisfaction.
- Responds effectively to member and guest comments, concerns, and suggestions in accordance with company standards and policies.
- Maintains confidentiality of all member and guest information.
- Attends management and staff meetings as required.
- Is present during operating hours and events to meet and greet members, guests, and prospective clients.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Completes other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Three to five years of related sales, hospitality, membership, or marketing experience preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems, POS systems, Delphi, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Physical Demands
- Frequently talks, hears, walks, stands, and sits.
- Regular use of personal computers and standard office equipment.
- Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.

- Typical office and hospitality environment.
- Noise level is moderate.
