Director of Marketing & Communications
(This full-time remote position is open to candidates residing in Tampa, Atlanta, or Charlotte.)
Position Overview
The Director of Marketing & Communications will lead the strategic development and execution of Fisher Phillips' marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on brand deployment, digital marketing, social media, and engagement campaigns. This role is responsible for driving brand consistency across all channels, executing innovative digital strategies, and creating compelling campaigns that engage our target audiences and support business development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Deployment & Execution
- Deploy the Fisher Phillips brand across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
- Ensure brand consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and communications.
- Develop and implement brand activation strategies that elevate market presence and reinforce positioning.
- Collaborate with leadership and practice groups to align brand messaging with strategic priorities.
- Oversee the production of marketing collateral, ensuring quality and brand alignment.
- Manage relationships with external creative agencies and vendors for brand-related projects.
- Oversee firm rankings and directory submissions. (ie. Chambers, Legal 500, etc.)
Digital Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
- Oversee website strategy and content development.
- Create email marketing campaigns to nurture prospects and clients.
- Analyze digital marketing performance metrics and optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights.
- Stay current on digital marketing trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative approaches.
Social Media Management
- Develop and execute social media strategies across LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms.
- Create and curate engaging content that showcases thought leadership, firm achievements, and culture.
- Build and grow social media following and engagement rates.
- Monitor social media trends and competitive activity, adjusting strategy accordingly.
- Manage social media calendars and coordinate content creation with internal stakeholders.
- Establish social media policies and guidelines for attorney and staff participation.
Engagement Campaigns
- Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive client engagement and business development.
- Develop event marketing strategies for webinars, conferences, and client events.
- Create targeted campaigns for practice groups, industries, and key client segments.
- Implement client engagement programs that strengthen relationships and demonstrate value.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Measure campaign effectiveness and ROI, providing regular reporting to leadership.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Oversee the creative services, communications, and marketing content functions.
- Partner with business development to support their marketing needs.
- Manage marketing budget and allocate resources effectively across initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on marketing trends, opportunities, and best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand, digital, and social media strategies.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, and marketing automation systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing engagement campaigns and measuring marketing ROI.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in professional services, legal, or B2B environment strongly preferred.
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience with marketing in the legal industry.
- Proficiency with marketing technology stack (CMS, CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms.)
- Knowledge of legal industry trends and professional services marketing best practices.
