About the Marketing, Communications & Content Team
The Marketing, Communications & Content team at Welcome.US shapes how the welcoming movement shows up in the world. We lead the strategy and execution of storytelling, brand and campaign marketing, public engagement, digital communications, and executive and organizational messaging—ensuring our work reaches, inspires, and mobilizes millions of Americans across communities, sectors, and political lines.
This team sits at the intersection of content and communications and marketing and growth. On the content and communications side, we develop powerful narratives, messaging frameworks, executive communications, and media strategies that elevate newcomer and Welcomer stories, define our voice, and advance cultural and policy change. On the marketing side, we design and run integrated campaigns, digital and lifecycle marketing, mobilization efforts, and tentpole moments that drive awareness, participation, and sustained engagement in the welcoming movement.
Working closely with program, partnerships, and external stakeholders, the team supports major announcements, national moments, and large-scale mobilization campaigns; builds and manages digital channels and platforms; and creates compelling content that moves people from awareness to action. Through strategic marketing, communications, and content, Welcome.US expands the welcoming movement—encouraging individuals and organizations to show up for newcomers and helping communities across the country build the capacity to welcome, together.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Digital Marketing Manager
The Digital Marketing Manager will own the execution, optimization, and performance of Welcome.US’s core digital marketing channels, with a primary focus on email marketing and paid media.
This role operationalizes campaign and lifecycle marketing plans across email and paid media channels, delivering high-performing, data-driven channel execution.
This is a hands-on, channel execution and operations role responsible for building, testing, and optimizing email and paid programs that drive engagement, participation, and mobilization at scale.

- Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing defines audience strategy, segmentation, and the Welcomer journey
- Campaign Marketing Manager leads campaign planning and cross-channel coordination
- Digital Marketing Manager (this role) owns execution and performance of email and paid channels
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing Execution & Optimization
- Build, launch, and optimize email campaigns, newsletters, and lifecycle journeys
- Coordinate content and asset development and internal review cycles with relevant stakeholders
- Translate lifecycle strategies into automated and triggered email flows
- Own email production workflows, including QA, scheduling, and deployment
- Develop and execute A/B tests (subject lines, content, timing, segmentation)
- Monitor and maintain email deliverability, including sender reputation, authentication, and list health best practices.
- Implement personalization and segmentation strategies defined by lifecycle marketing lead
- Convene regular email production meetings with relevant stakeholders to streamline communication, coordination, and execution
Paid Media Strategy & Execution
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns across platforms (e.g., Meta, Google, YouTube, programmatic)
- Identify needed assets for paid ads and coordinate development and review
- Manage budgets, pacing, and performance against campaign goals
- Develop targeting strategies aligned with audience and campaign objectives
- Continuously optimize creative, targeting, and bidding strategies
- Partner with Campaign Manager on media plans and channel mix
- Manage relationship with paid media agency
Performance Marketing & Analytics
- Track and report on channel performance (email + paid)
- Develop dashboards and performance insights to inform optimization
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve conversion and engagement
- Support KPI tracking tied to campaign and lifecycle goals
- Marketing Technology & Systems Ownership
- Own day-to-day management of email platform (ESP) and paid media tools
- Ensure proper audience segmentation, tagging, and tracking
- Collaborate with Product/Digital teams on CRM and data integrations
- Maintain best practices for data hygiene, compliance, and privacy
- Testing & Continuous Improvement
- Establish a structured testing roadmap across email and paid channels
- Run experiments to improve conversion, engagement, and retention
- Document learnings and apply insights across campaigns and lifecycle programs
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with:
- Lifecycle Marketing to implement segmentation and journeys
- Campaign Marketing to execute campaign tactics
- Content & Creative teams to develop high-performing assets
- Provide channel expertise and recommendations during campaign planning

Welcome.US offers a generous compensation and benefits package in order to attract and retain top talent.
Salaries and retirement
- Salaries commensurate with experience and aligned with other organizations of our size
- 401(k) with an employer contribution of 6% of salary available (with no waiting period) for full and part time employees
- Benefits for full-time employees
- Comprehensive health benefits for the employee and dependents, subsidized 85-100% depending on plan choice. Currently health insurance is provided through

Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- 4–7 years in digital marketing, growth marketing, or performance marketing
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot)
- Paid media platforms (Meta, Google Ads, etc.)
- Journey mapping tools (i.e., Mural)
- Familiarity with audience segmentation in Salesforce, user journeys, and lifecycle or growth marketing concepts
- Experience building and optimizing automated email journeys based on performance data
- Experience with paid media campaigns, audience targeting, and optimization
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in fast-moving environments
- Ability to translate strategy into execution-ready plans, briefs, and task lists
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with email deliverability best practices, including authentication, sender reputation, and inbox placement monitoring.
- Experience working closely with content, creative, and external partners to produce and launch assets
- Experience managing multi-channel digital campaigns at scale
- Experience working in cross-partisan, nonpartisan, or politically diverse environments.
