Join the Department of Recreational Sports as our next Coordinator of Fitness & Wellness, helping deliver programs and services that support a healthy, active campus community. This role is key to providing high-quality fitness and wellness offerings, including personal training, fitness assessments, and massage therapy, while ensuring a positive and engaging participant experience. The Coordinator recruits, trains, schedules, and evaluates student staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork. Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree; two years of experience in personnel management and fitness programming; understanding of fitness operations in a campus recreation setting; effective communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision, to think laterally, to undertake initiatives, to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to supervise people.
Preferred Fitness Certifications: ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, or NASM, and First Aid & CPR/AED.
