Description

The Sports Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing youth and adult recreation programs that serve the Brighton community. This full-time leadership position manages seasonal sports leagues, camps, special events, and recreational activities while supervising part-time staff, instructors, and volunteers. The Sports Supervisor works collaboratively with community members, schools, and program participants to deliver high-quality recreational experiences in a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Parks Administration, Education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience coordinating youth and/or adult sports and recreation programs.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to hire, supervise, and motivate part-time staff and volunteers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic program marketing tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
• Willingness to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor recreation environments
