The College of Business and Technology at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in Marketing. This position will start in Fall 2027, pending final funding approval.
Requirements
Minimum requirements: Applicants should have received a Ph.D./D.B.A degree in Marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited school by the starting date of appointment. ABD’s will be considered for a one-year, non-tenure-track initial appointment. This appointment can be converted to tenure-track if the required degree is completed within the initial year.
Qualifications: The successful candidate should be able to teach (in multiple modes) undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing Research, Marketing Analytics, International Marketing, Personal Selling, Sales Management and other marketing courses in our programs; conduct quality research; and participate in service activities to the NEIU community. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research is required. Relevant business experience will also be helpful.

AMA Conference Interviews: Members of the search committee will be attending the American Marketing Association Summer Academic Conference, July 24-26, 2026 in Denver, Colorado. We will be conducting informational interviews on-site (in-person) during the conference. Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000. University employees may be eligible for a variety of State of Illinois benefits. These benefits are administered through the Illinois Department of Central Management Service (CMS).
