Overview

Rock Bottom Golf is seeking dependable, service-oriented individuals to join our Seasonal Golf Shop team located at the Rock Bottom Golf Pro Shop at Morgan's Crossing Golf Course. This role is essential to creating a positive first and last impression for our guests while supporting the daily operations of the golf shop.

This is a seasonal position requiring availability during peak golf season, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Opprortunities for possible year round position if the right fit.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests.
• Assist customers with golf equipment, club fitting, apparel, footwear, and accessory purchases.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of current golf equipment and technology from all major manufacturers.
• Perform custom club fittings and make equipment recommendations based on each golfer's needs.
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays and assist with inventory management, receiving, pricing, and stock replenishment.
• Assist with tournament operations, outings, leagues, and special events.
• Support daily golf shop opening and closing procedures.
• Answer phones, respond to customer inquiries, and assist with reservations.
• Assist with marketing promotions, demo days, and special sales events.
• Perform club repair services (preferred but not required).
• Work collaboratively with golf shop, outside services, and food & beverage staff to provide a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of golf equipment, club technology, and the game of golf.
• Previous experience in golf retail, golf operations, or sporting goods sales preferred.
• PGA Member or Associate preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven sales ability with a customer-first approach.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the golf season.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Club fitting experience with major manufacturers.
• Club repair experience.
• Knowledge of golf POS systems and tee sheet software.
• Tournament software experience (Golf Genius).
• Experience with merchandising and inventory control.
