One of the most beautiful courses in Central Florida, Lone Palm is set on nearly 400 acres of beautiful scenery and wildlife. The 18-hole, championship course provides both challenge and enjoyment for professionals and novices alike. Designed in 1965 by legendary golf course architect, Dick Wilson and renovated by Steve Smyers in 2022, Lone Palm has played host to many professional, amateur, and charity tournaments. The course winds its way through serene Florida landscape providing breathtaking views along the way

This position oversees the daily operations of the Lone Palm Golf Club Outside Facilities and Staff. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of Lone Palm and ensuring a positive experience for members and guests.

Guest Services:

• Welcome and assist golfers with their bags, equipment, and provide exceptional customer service. Helping golfers by loading bags, cleaning clubs, and preparing them for play, ensuring all their needs are met and questions answered.
• Manage the golf bag drop area, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
• Coordinate cart rentals, and other golf-related services for guests.
• Address member inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Cleaning and maintaining the staging area, storage area, and golf cart fleet.
• Marshalling carts in the staging area and assigning them to players, ensuring golf carts are tracked and verified when rented.
• Assisting golfers after their round by cleaning clubs, delivering them to their cars as needed, and checking in the golf carts.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the club storage, cart, and equipment areas.
• Keeping the practice areas set up and continually supplied (e.g., range balls) for daily use.
• Serve as a role model to all employees by demonstrating the expected behavior and work ethic.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Outside Golf Operations Manager.

Staff Supervision:

• Develop and implement various training programs for the outside service staff to ensure they are well-trained, achieving Service Excellence, and enhancing Member/Guest satisfaction and retention.
• Assist in leading the Outside Golf Operations Employees, including training, supervision, and daily leadership. Train and schedule outside service staff.
• Supervise and motivate staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.

Equipment and Facilities Maintenance:

• Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of golf carts, clubs, and practice facilities.
• Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of golf carts, range equipment, and practice areas.
• Report any equipment or facility issues to Head Golf Professional or Assistant Golf Professional.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain an inventory of range balls, tees, and other golf-related items.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in golf course operations or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of golf equipment and terminology.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours.

Experience Required

• Previous experience in a golf-related role or relevant education in golf management.
• Private club experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, rules, and etiquette.
• Previous experience in a customer service or outdoor services role, preferably within a golf course
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a variety of customers in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• A passion for golf and outdoor environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds (cooler supplies, equipment, etc.) and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods during a typical workday.
