Description
The Administrative Coordinator for Student Affairs provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Division of Student Affairs. This position serves as a central point of coordination for divisional initiatives, communications, and day-to-day functions, ensuring efficient operations and effective support of student-focused programs and services. This position operates in a professional office environment within the Division of Student Affairs and may require occasional evening or weekend hours to support events and initiatives.
- Provide high-level administrative support to divisional leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence.
- Coordinate divisional meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and track follow-up actions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Assist in the planning and execution of divisional events, programs, and initiatives.
- Manage and maintain records, reports, and documentation for the division.
- Support budget tracking, purchasing, and financial processes in coordination with university policies.
- Facilitate communication across departments within Student Affairs to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Assist with onboarding and support of student employees and graduate assistants as needed.
- Maintain divisional calendars, websites, and communication platforms.
- Support assessment, reporting, and data collection efforts for divisional initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a higher education or student affairs setting.
- Familiarity with budgeting, event planning, and project coordination.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting student success.
