Description
The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and CUE leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. As the project lead on our rebranding initiative, this individual will be responsible for enhancing CUE’s digital presence, increasing visibility through SEO, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong track record in nonprofit marketing, brand development, campaign management, and event marketing experience.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Development and Integration
Participate in CUE’s rebranding project, collaborating with external consultants to establish and integrate a refreshed brand identity across digital, print, and event channels.
Develop a cohesive brand strategy that reflects CUE’s mission, vision, and core values and aligns with the needs of the educational technology community.
Ensure brand consistency and high-quality execution across all materials and platforms, reinforcing CUE’s identity.
Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management
Design and execute strategic, data-driven marketing campaigns to increase visibility, membership, and engagement for CUE’s programs and events.
Craft clear, compelling messaging for email marketing, social media, website content, and event promotion that resonates with educators, administrators, and stakeholders.
Analyze campaign performance metrics to refine strategies, maximizing reach, engagement, and impact.
Digital Marketing and SEO
Manage and optimize CUE’s website (WordPress), ensuring content is current, accessible, and aligned with best SEO practices.
Develop strategies to enhance online visibility, drive organic traffic, and improve user experience across digital channels.
Oversee the execution of SEO initiatives in collaboration with external vendors as needed to improve search ranking and online engagement.
Vendor and Consultant Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors, agencies, and consultants, ensuring all work supports CUE’s brand and goals.
Develop RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage budgets for outsourced branding, design, and digital services.
Collaborate with external partners on creative asset development and campaign implementation, ensuring consistent quality and alignment with CUE’s objectives.
Event and Membership Marketing and Support
Work in close partnership with the Events Manager to develop promotional strategies for CUE’s flagship events, enhancing attendee engagement and sponsor visibility.
Create on-brand event marketing materials, signage, and digital content that elevate the attendee experience and reinforce CUE’s mission.
Manage real-time social media engagement during events to boost CUE’s online presence and connect with the audience.
Work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to develop membership campaigns, design member benefits, and increase overall member engagement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace
- Nonprofit marketing or communications, focusing on brand development and campaign management.
- Proficiency in WordPress, SEO, Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other design software is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience leading branding or large-scale marketing projects, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with event marketing best practices and the ability to develop integrated strategies to drive event attendance and engagement.
