Description

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing leading provider for essential media,

buffers & reagents to accelerate the development and commercialization of novel therapies,

vaccines, and diagnostics. As the face of Teknova to our valued customers the Account Executive will be responsible for

managing and growing Teknova’s existing customer base within a geographic location. Account

Executives will account manage and be the primary point of contact for all active customer

accounts within a region, providing exceptional customer experiences from onboarding to

support to introduction of new products and capabilities, ultimately resulting in the creation of

long-standing relationships with customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries within the territory and interface with internal departments across Customer Service, Quoting, Sales, Business Development, R&D, Operations, QA, Legal and Shipping to exceed customer expectations.
  • Proactively engage accounts within the territory to explore new growth opportunities across existing business and introduce new products, services, and research collaborations.
  • Work closely with accounts to manage annual forecasts, document relevant information and update accounts within the customer relationship manager system (CRM).
  • Support and solve problems for customers by understanding their needs and utilizing internal resources to exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements and where relevant put in place Supply Agreements.
  • Stay abreast of, and learn about, new technical applications, products and services available to customers


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences preferred but not required.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • The successful candidate possesses a customer-first mindset, strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and great interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years Customer Service or Account Executive experience
  • Experience and proficiency with popular CRM’s preferred (Salesforce)
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment and meeting customer time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful customer relationships
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
