The Leave and Benefits Coordinator supports the Northeast Arc's commitment to employee well-being by administering day-to-day benefits operations and managing all leave programs with accuracy, timeliness, empathy and compliance. This role ensures employees receive timely, clear guidance on benefits and leave options, while maintaining meticulous documentation and confidentiality.
The Leave and Benefits Coordinator role directly contributes to our organizational strategy by ensuring compliance, promoting workforce stability, and enhancing the overall employee experience through effective leave and benefits management.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee leave and benefit inquiries providing clear, timely and exceptional service. Acts as a knowledge expert on leave of absence related matters.
Guide employees through the leave process ensuring clear understanding of eligibility, documentation requirements and timelines
Manage end-to-end processing of all employee qualified leave of absence programs, such as FMLA, MA PFML, ADA, personal and intermittent leaves, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of government regulations and laws.
Process and maintain all leave documentation and communicate with Managers regarding leave status in a timely manner
Maintain compliant physical and digital files in accordance with state and federal regulations
Monitor and tracks absence status, documentation, and return to work dates
Generate reports on leave usage, benefits enrollment, and trends to support decision making
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Target Salary
The approximate pay range for this role $62,000 - $80,000 annually.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's experience, education, and internal equity.

Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Four years’ experience in human resources in leave and/or benefits administration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels in a confident and influential manner.
Nonprofit experience a plus
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy; Possess excellent organization skills
Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgement and decision-making skills within policy and legal boundaries
Strong proficiency in MS Office; prior experience with an HRIS system a plus
