NAMI Valley of the Sun is growing our presence in the West Valley — and we’re looking for someone passionate about mental health, community connection, and making a difference.
We are seeking a full-time Bilingual West Valley Program Coordinator to help expand our free mental health education, support, and outreach programs throughout West Valley communities.
Position: Bilingual West Valley Program Coordinator Pay: $22–$27/hour, based on experience Location: Community-based throughout the West Valley Language: Professional fluency in English and Spanish required Schedule: Generally Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help bring NAMI programs directly into West Valley communities by:
Building relationships with schools, hospitals, libraries, faith communities, behavioral health providers, municipalities, nonprofits, and other community partners Establishing and supporting NAMI peer and family support groups, including Spanish-language programming Coordinating mental health education presentations in local middle and high schools Conducting bilingual community outreach Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers Connecting individuals and families with NAMI programs and community resources Helping us identify where mental health education and support are needed most
Requirements
Our ideal candidate is a relationship-builder and self-starter who is comfortable working out in the community and passionate about reducing barriers to mental health support.
Candidates should have professional fluency in English and Spanish, at least two years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and reliable transportation for regular travel throughout the West Valley.
Experience working with Spanish-speaking communities, community-based mental health programs, schools, nonprofits, or volunteer-led programs is especially valuable.
