The Resource Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the organization’s regional gleaning operation. This position will work with and support community leadership, as well as growers, grocers, volunteers, and recipients to maximize efficiency and efficacy, while helping to analyze and solve challenges as they arise. The Coordinator will continue to create and build strong relationships with all constituents of GleanKY to expand and promote the programming goals of the organization.
Requirements
Oversee the programming efforts of GleanKY by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:
a. Identify leadership in new communities and guide them in developing community-driven gleaning activities. b. Ensure the needs are met of all persons involved in the gleaning process. c. Oversee the recruitment, training, and recognition of volunteers. d. Maintain, support, recruit, and evaluate partnerships with growers, grocers, recipients, volunteers and other constituents interested in GleanKY. e. Develop a structure for incorporating new gleaning efforts into the organization within the target expansion area. f. Develop and maintain regional gleaning routes, including partnerships with farmers markets. g. Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and communication among various gleaning communities. h. Participate in community and other groups working on hunger, local food, and other related issues in a professional manner consistent with the image and mission of GleanKY. i. Champion safe food handling practices and reinforce program integrity to protect the well-being of all involved.
j. Assist with the design of additional programs in collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of Digital and Community Engagement. k. Provide a Report to the Executive Director for quarterly meetings, attend monthly committee meetings, and maintain timely telephone and email communications to ensure awareness of issues and needs pertinent to gleaning activities. l. Work with the Executive Director and the Director of Digital and Community Engagement to develop and implement strategic planning goals and objectives. m. Other duties as assigned.
I. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE II. Required A. Bachelor’s degree. B. Minimum of two years’ experience in non-profit management. C. Experience working effectively with diverse groups of people. D. Computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheet and database software. III. Preferred A. Experience working in North Central and Central Kentucky’s local food system. B. Experience in graphic design and digital marketing. C. Knowledge of food banking operations, social service networks, or compliance-related work

A reliable vehicle and good driving record. H. A smartphone. I. Confident using a computer with office-type applications to conduct basic regional analysis for regional reporting purposes. J. Ability to lift 50 pounds. K. Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check and driving record check.
