POSITION: Catering Sales Manager

Summary
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Catering Sales Manager for Legends Global Hospitality Jacksonville at The Prime Osborn Convention Center, Jacksonville Performing Arts Center, Ritz Theatre and Museum. This position is responsible for the planning, budgeting, and execution of catering and food and beverage functions while maintaining the highest standards in live events and guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Produce Banquet Event Orders events.
Prepares catering contracts and suite invoices and establishes payment arrangements in compliance with accounting department guidelines.
Obtains/Tracks client’s signature on delivery receipts, sales orders, and contracts.
Ensure a successful event by routine and thorough checking of food standards, room set up and on-time service with the result of client satisfaction when needed.
Resolves any client concerns and reports them to the catering sales manager.
Negotiates and arranges appropriate pre- and post-contract services.
Organize prospect files by listing information to be used for promotional purposes.
Formulate plans for soliciting business in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and the Box Office.
Analyzes requirements of events, outlines available facilities and services offered.
Coordinates and communicates clients’ needs in a timely manner to the appropriate internal departments and organizations.
Coordinates site inspections of facilities with clients
Maintains all event files as it relates to the catering sales department.
Generate revenue and provide excellent service to internal and external guests.
Ensure the catering needs of the guests are met.
Develop and maintain communication lines with Event Services, Operations, Culinary and Accounting
Keeps all event details current.
Seek, negotiate, and contract new and repeat business by conducting sales calls, telemarketing, networking, and attending events throughout the city and surrounding areas.
Provide detailed event analysis to support, maintain and/or improve company goals and guest satisfaction.
For repeat clients, review past events to keep appraised of client expectations.
Provide on-time service to guarantee client satisfaction.
Follow up promptly with customers from first contact until the end of the event.
Continuously interact with clients through duration of event.
Manage and work the Event Calendar for all designated venues.
Manage and host catering, and live events as scheduled by Legends Global
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
Qualifications

Strong customer service orientation
Experience in Caterease or equivalent scheduling software preferred.
Must have extensive knowledge of MS Office
Education and/or Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a catering sales management level position (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and catering or live event management experience (preferred)
Prior management / leadership experience preferred.
Two years of customer service experience preferred.
