Social Media Specialist - Reuters

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in London.

We're looking for a Social Media Specialist to promote custom content across Reuters' media channels. As a Social Media Specialist, you'll be responsible for creating and administering content on all paid and organic media of sponsored campaigns, building an audience and ensuring we're reaching the right people through the right channels. This is a varied role in which you'll deal with a variety of content types including articles, live broadcasts, video and podcasts.

As a Social Media Specialist, you'll be critical to our social media bidding processes and will implement and optimize campaigns across a variety of channels including Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and LinkedIn. You'll also deliver site metrics, produce reports and manage budgets.

The Role

As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Deploying and managing biddable campaigns on Twitter, Linked In, Facebook, YouTube, and also some aspects of Display, ABM and PPC.
  • Ensuring all platforms are optimized to achieve established benchmarks and are constantly fed with organic content to promote growth
  • Ensure campaigns are pacing according to budget allocation, looking for ways to save budget.
  • Planning assets needed for our campaigns to implement both organic and paid content.
  • Producing copy for all campaign assets, ensuring all creative is approved on a timely manner and follows labeling guidelines.
  • Producing a creative testing strategy for each campaign to avoid creative fatigue and ensure the best results in each campaign.
  • Determining segmentation for all of our campaigns whilst optimizing targeting across their life cycle.
  • Provide final report insights for each campaign’s post campaign analysis.


About You

You're a fit for the role of Social Media Specialist if you have:
  • Professional experience of between 1 and 3 years in social media, both organic and paid (experience with display, PPC and ABM desirable).
  • An understanding of the differences in bidding processes for various social media channels and the drive to help us achieve the best return on investment across social media platforms.
  • A thorough knowledge of social media and its various resources and tools, including Twitter, Linked In and Facebook platforms both for posting and for ads management.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools, including Hootsuite, Google Analytics, DataStudio, & Tableau.
  • A creative mindset, with an eye for design and quality audiovisual pieces.
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of principal marketing channels and the basics of online marketing.
