SalivaDirect, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that develops saliva-based diagnostic tests for infectious and chronic diseases and ideates novel deployment mechanisms for these tests to increase access. SalivaDirect, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team as we launch our laboratory membership program. Applicants must have demonstrated sales experience in the medical devices, life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries. Candidates must have demonstrated successful experience in client/customer recruitment,  customer retention and relationship building. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a CRM system for outreach to CLIA-certified laboratories, life science companies, and individual supporters across the United States and internationally

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identify synergies

  • Possess a deep understanding of the infectious disease diagnostics market and form a strong understanding of our unique positioning and value-add

  • Create sales presentation materials for use in sales meetings and iteratively refine them

  • Provide regular reports on performance, market trends, and revenue outcomes to senior management. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions

  • Working closely with the Regulatory Compliance and Data team, lead complex sales negotiations and ensure successful contract closures

  • As the organization continues to grow, recruit, train, and manage sales associates and interns to aid in the execution of the sales strategy


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business, Marketing).

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in medical devices, life sciences, or biotechnology industries, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

  • Previous experience in managing a sales team is highly preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of the infectious disease diagnostics market and industry trends.

  • Ability to travel as required.
