About the Role
OmicSkyBio LLC is seeking an experienced Scientific Business Development Representative to develop new client relationships and business opportunities for LC–MS bioanalysis, biologics characterization, proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, and related analytical services.
The representative will identify qualified prospects, understand their analytical needs, introduce relevant OmicSkyBio services, and advance opportunities from initial engagement through scientific discussion, proposal development, and project award.
The representative leads relationship development, while OmicSkyBio provides scientific scoping, proposal preparation, contracting support, and project execution.
This is a remote, non-exclusive, commission-only independent contractor opportunity.
About OmicSkyBio OmicSkyBio is a scientist-led contract research organization providing comprehensive LC–MS bioanalysis, biologics characterization, and multi-omics services. Our work ranges from routine analytical testing and established workflows to customized method development, advanced molecular characterization, and integrated data analysis.
Core service areas include:
LC–MS and LC–MS/MS analysis, method development, optimization, transfer, and troubleshooting
Small-molecule bioanalysis, PK/PD support, and targeted quantitative assays
Antibody, protein, ADC, and biologics characterization, including intact mass analysis and peptide mapping
Proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, host-cell protein analysis, and biomarker studies
Extracellular-vesicle analysis and integrated multi-omics data interpretatio
Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new business opportunities aligned with OmicSkyBio’s services.
Build relationships with scientific and business decision-makers in biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, CRO, pharmaceutical, academic, and research organizations.
Understand prospective clients’ programs, analytical requirements, timelines, and project objectives.
Present relevant OmicSkyBio capabilities and coordinate technical discussions with the scientific team.
Develop opportunities through professional relationships, referrals, strategic partnerships, conferences, and targeted outreach.
Support qualified opportunities through scientific scoping, proposal development, commercial follow-up, and project award.
Develop relationships with complementary CROs, consultants, instrument-industry professionals, and scientific service providers.
Maintain accurate opportunity and follow-up information. Provide market feedback on client needs, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
OmicSkyBio’s scientific team will be responsible for feasibility assessment, study design, pricing, proposals, contracting, project execution, data analysis, and reporting.

Compensation
This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity with no guaranteed salary or hourly compensation.
Representatives may earn up to 10% of collected service revenue from approved new projects they originate, with additional commission opportunities for repeat business and selected OmicSkyBio-provided leads.
Commissions are paid after customer payment is received. Complete attribution, calculation, and payment terms will be included in the independent representative agreement.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in life-science business development, scientific sales, CRO services, consulting, bioanalysis, analytical development, pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, or a related commercial role.
Established professional relationships within biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, CRO, academic, or translational research organizations.
Working knowledge of one or more relevant areas, such as:Mass spectrometry and LC–MS bioanalysis
Analytical method development
Biologics characterization
Proteomics, lipidomics, or metabolomics
Biomarkers and translational medicine
DMPK, PK/PD, or CMC
Antibodies, ADCs, recombinant proteins, or other therapeutic modalities
Ability to communicate credibly with scientists, technical leaders, and biotechnology executives.
Ability to identify client needs, develop professional relationships, and advance opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication, organization, and commercial follow-up skills.
Self-directed, ethical, and comfortable working in a flexible, results-oriented independent-contractor arrangement.
Willingness to accurately document originated opportunities for attribution and commission administration.
An advanced scientific degree is helpful but not required. Relevant industry experience, scientific credibility, professional relationships, and commercial effectiveness are more important than a specific degree.
