The Working Class Majority PAC means business. This year, Nebraska has the power to say “enough already” and deal a major blow to the billionaire ruling class. To get the job done, we need you: your skills earned from a whole range of jobs, your interest in your neighbor and their needs, and your determination to make the connections needed to build power. We will provide training, support, and good pay. And together, Nebraskans will rise up in record numbers. It’s our time! Are you up for the challenge?
We are looking for an experienced, relentless Organizing Director to build, launch, and scale an aggressive statewide direct-voter-contact operation across Nebraska, ahead of November’s critical elections. If you believe that real political power is built from the ground up through deep organizing and face-to-face conversations, we want you on our team.
Position Overview
The Organizing Director will design, launch, and manage the day-to-day operations of our paid door-to-door canvassing program. You will be on the ground, working with stakeholders, building our canvass hubs, training field organizers, recruiting volunteers, and ensuring our team hits aggressive daily and weekly voter contact goals.
Key Responsibilities
Program Launch & Scaling: Build the door-to-door canvass infrastructure, including setting up localized launch sites, cut sheets, turf packets, and script iterations tailored to working-class populism.
Staff Leadership & Recruitment: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a diverse team of canvassers. Cultivate a high-energy, resilient team culture focused on accountability and metric-driven success.
Data & Turf Management: Master data tools (MiniVAN, Votebuilder/VAN) to cut clean, effective turf, monitor data entry quality in real-time, and analyze daily contact metrics to constantly optimize team performance.
Operations: identify and set up field offices throughout Nebraska, work with payroll staff to ensure timely and accurate process
Quality Control & Compliance: Conduct regular field check-ins, "ride-alongs," and data audits to ensure data integrity, message consistency, and that every voter interaction aligns with Working Class Majority PAC’s core values.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Community Outreach: 3-5 years/cycles experience with political, electoral, labor, community organizing, canvassing, or other community outreach and engagement. Familiarity with Nebraska’s specific political and cultural landscape, experience organizing in rural, low-density populations, which is critical for a statewide Nebraska campaign.
Technical Proficiency: Some knowledge of NGP VAN, MiniVAN, and managing voter data systems.
Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to economic populism, union labor, and anti-establishment grassroots organizing.
Team Management: Experience managing a distributed team across multiple office, staff retention and conflict resolution strategies
Budget Management: Oversee the field budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across all 10+ offices while maintaining cost-per-contact benchmarks.
