The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and strategic direction of the dealership's sales operations. Reporting directly to the President of Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land, this individual will oversee all sales managers, new and pre-owned vehicle operations, inventory strategy, customer experience initiatives, manufacturer performance metrics, and sales process execution.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership for all New Vehicle, Pre-Owned, Internet, and Sales Management operations.
Develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive market share, profitability, and sustainable growth.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Sales Managers and Sales Consultants into high-performing leaders.
Foster a culture centered on accountability, integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Establish and monitor KPIs including retail sales volume, gross profit, market share, CSI, employee retention, and sales effectiveness.
Oversee desking strategy and deal structure to maximize profitability while maintaining a transparent luxury buying experience.
Partner closely with Finance, Service, Parts, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure a seamless customer journey.
Utilize CRM, business intelligence, and dealership analytics to identify trends and implement performance improvements.
Direct inventory strategy, pricing, aging management, and product mix in partnership with executive management.
Recruit and retain exceptional sales talent while developing future leaders through coaching and succession planning.
Ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz standards, dealership policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Mercedes-Benz USA representatives while consistently achieving manufacturer objectives.
Champion an elevated client experience that creates lifelong relationships, repeat business, and referrals.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of progressive automotive retail leadership experience.
Five or more years leading luxury automotive sales operations as a General Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales, or equivalent executive role.
Mercedes-Benz experience strongly preferred; other luxury franchises will be considered.
Demonstrated record of exceeding sales, profitability, CSI, and market share objectives.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze departmental performance and drive measurable results.
Experience managing both New and Pre-Owned vehicle operations.
Proven success recruiting, developing, and retaining top-performing leaders.
Extensive knowledge of CRM platforms, DMS systems, inventory management, and dealership analytics.
Outstanding communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
