Pueblo Radiology Medical Group is a leading diagnostic imaging practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and high-quality radiological services. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Revenue Cycle Management Supervisor to lead our front-end revenue cycle team.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of insurance verification, pre-authorization, and front-office financial processes. You'll manage a small team, act as the crucial link between our practice and our external billing company and ensure a smooth financial experience for our patients.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Lead, train, and mentor a team of 3-4 billing and insurance coordinators.
Manage daily workflows, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure department efficiency and accuracy.
Insurance Authorization & Eligibility Oversight:
Oversee the entire pre-authorization and insurance eligibility verification process for all imaging studies.
Serve as the primary resource for complex authorization cases and payer policy questions.
Develop and implement protocols to minimize claim denials due to authorization or eligibility issues.
Billing Company Coordination:
Act as the main point of contact and liaison with our outside billing company.
Monitor billing performance, resolve escalated billing inquiries, and ensure seamless communication between the practice and the billing service.
Review key revenue cycle reports and identify trends or issues that require intervention.
Front Office & Partnership Management:
Supervise the collection and reconciliation of front office deposits, co-pays, and patient payments.
Manage the specialized billing and insurance coordination for our dedicated partner, the CMH Breast Center, ensuring all their unique requirements are met.
Qualifications & Skills
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical billing and insurance, radiology-specific experience is strongly preferred.
At least 2-3 years in a supervisory, lead, or team management role is required.
Knowledge:
Expert-level understanding of insurance verification, pre-authorization, and referral requirements across various payers (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding relevant to radiology.
Familiarity with working alongside a third-party billing company.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, physicians, and external partners.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR and Practice Management (PM) systems.
