About us:Job Summary:
The Village Animal Clinic is looking for new members for our assistant/reception team for our popular veterinary practice. Applicants should be experienced in delivering top-notch client service, should enjoy working with the public and their pets, and should be able to work effectively and supportively as a team member. Duties include holding a wide range of species for the doctors to examine and treat, answering the phones, and helping to keep our premises neat. Experience with veterinary practice is preferred, but attitude, ability, and enthusiasm are our highest priorities. Enjoying a challenge, being able to multitask, and making clients feel important and warmly welcomed are essential personality traits.
We offer great career opportunities. Salary range starts at $19.00 hour for entry-level and up to $24.00 for experienced applicants. Our benefit package includes medical insurance with a substantial employer contribution, dental & vision insurance; employer-paid life and disability insurance; IRA retirement savings; employee pet discounts; and continuing education.

Qualifications
- Experience with veterinary practice is preferred, but attitude, ability, and enthusiasm are our highest priorities.
- Animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Duties include holding a wide range of species for the doctors to examine and treat, answering the phones, and helping to keep our premises neat.
- Interacting with clients, client education, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments.
- Safely handle and restrain animals.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensuring a clean, organized work environment.
