FirstDiv is seeking an experienced and qualified Systems Administrator I to provide support to the SRDT&E Network within Department of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Service Centers, specifically within the Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services (DC2HS) Division. The Systems Administrator I will administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
Location: Point Loma, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
- Trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
Requirements
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- At least one relevant certification: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Compliance with the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training according to DoD 8570.1M and related DoD 8140 standards.
Experience: No required professional experience.
Security Clearance Level: Active Secret, and eligibility to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
