This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager, Database Core in Germany.

As a Senior Product Manager for the database core, you will drive the strategy and roadmap for foundational components such as the engine, compiler, data management, and interfaces. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and customers to ensure that the product delivers real-world value, balancing innovation, performance, and reliability. You will act as a key connector between engineering, stakeholders, and customers, ensuring that the product strategy reflects market needs and technical feasibility.

Accountabilities:
• Define the product strategy and roadmap for the database core, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Work closely with engineering managers to create detailed product documents and guide execution across development cycles.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders to drive alignment and consensus on priorities and objectives.
• Monitor market trends and competitor solutions to identify differentiators and new opportunities.
• Represent the product externally at events, conferences, and industry forums.

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in analytical databases, query engines, or big data platforms.
• Deep technical knowledge of database components, including compiler, optimizer, engine, and storage management.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to define and deliver meaningful product value.
• Demonstrated ownership of product domains and ability to drive initiatives from concept to delivery.
• Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud-based architectures is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and basic understanding of data science concepts is a plus.
