Discover the steps we took to create a discrimination-free hiring process.
Mission
Join us as a Product Manager and help us build the accounting products that will make Qonto the default finance workspace for 600,000+ SMEs and their accountants across Europe. You will own high-impact accounting features end-to-end - from discovery to delivery - all under the guidance of Paul, our Head of Product for Accounting, and with the sponsorship of Steve, our co-founder.
This is not a generic PM role. You'll be working in one of the most complex and regulated domains in fintech - accounting, bookkeeping, and e-invoicing - where deep domain understanding is what separates great products from mediocre ones.
As a Product Manager at Qonto, you will
• Own the product roadmap for your scope, end-to-end: You'll define what we build, why, and in what order - working with engineers, designers, and domain experts to ship features that make a real difference for SMEs and accountants.
• Go deep on accounting workflows: You'll develop a sharp understanding of how accounting actually works - production workflows, regulatory constraints (e-invoicing, FEC, OEC), and the day-to-day pain points of both SMEs and their accountants.
• Ship faster with AI: You'll use AI tools (Dust, Notion AI, Claude...) and leverage AI as a product lever - identifying where automation and intelligence can transform accounting from a chore into a competitive advantage.
• Challenge the status quo: PMs at Qonto don't just execute a backlog. You'll question assumptions, prototype fast, and push for the best possible product - not just the one that was asked for.
• Work with maximum squad autonomy: Your squad owns its roadmap, picks its approaches, and ships independently. No layers of approval, no waiting on committees.
What we're looking for
• Deep accounting domain expertise: You've worked at or closely with an accounting-tech company or in a role where you built products for accountants and SMEs. You know the difference between a FEC and a liasse fiscale - and why it matters for the product.
• Product mindset: You understand the business value of what you ship. You think in outcomes, not features, and you're comfortable making hard trade-offs.
• AI-native workflow: You use AI to supercharge how you work - from research and analysis to spec writing and user testing. You see AI as a product lever, not just a productivity hack.
• Track record of shipping: You have 5+ years of experience as a PM, with concrete examples of products you took from 0 to 1 or significantly scaled.
• Strong communication in English: You collaborate effectively across functions and can articulate complex domain problems clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• French is a strong plus given the regulatory and market context of accounting in France.
What you'll get
• Unlimited access to the best AI tools on the market - Claude, Dust, Notion AI, Cursor, Copilot.
• A squad culture where autonomy is the default: you own your decisions and ship without red tape.
• A domain that's being completely transformed by AI and regulation - if you want to build something from scratch at European scale, this is the place.
About your future manager
You'll report to Paul Mourot, Head of Product for Accounting.
Paul joined Qonto to build the accounting product line from the ground up. He brings deep experience in complex, regulated product domains and believes in giving PMs real ownership - you'll define the vision for your scope and be accountable for the results.
His approach: hire great people, give them context and autonomy, and create an environment where the best ideas win regardless of where they come from.
Hiring Process
• 2 Interviews (1 hour each): first with your Talent Acquisition Manager, and then with Paul
• A live exercise (2 hours) to demonstrate how you think and give you a taste of what working at Qonto could be like
We aim to have the hiring process last 10 days max, from first interview to potential offer
If you've read this far and thought "that sounds like me but I don't check every box" - apply anyway. We hire on potential and mindset, not checklists.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.
