Description
With over 120 global clients, Agency Securities Finance offers a complete range of lending products and related services with opportunities to earn incremental income.As an Associate in the Agency Securities Finance Product team, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the program as well as being tasked with identifying and developing new program expansions to align with the demands of our continually growing client base, diverse borrowing requirements of our counterparties and changing regulatory frameworks. Working with internal stakeholders including Trading, Sales, Legal, Client team, Product Development, Operations, and Technology to name a few, this is a unique opportunity to collaborate and further increase working knowledge of both internal and external factors that may impact the business. The role will require ongoing monitoring of regulatory and market changes and changing client requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Be involved with the day-to-day management and delivery of the due diligence, tax and regulatory process for the Securities Lending product, with focus specifically on the APAC region.
- Identify both short-term and long-term product development plans for the Agency Securities Finance business in the APAC region considering industry, client, counterparty, competition and regulatory opportunities and frameworks.
- Collaborate with Trading, Client Teams, Technology and other functional / business partners, including Legal and Compliance to discuss and review business impact assessments for any APAC related changes.
- Effectively lead internal approval processes for new products impacting the APAC region.
- Promote development to the sales, client teams and other internal partners, including where needed, the creation of client materials.
- Represent Agency Securities Finance at wider internal regional regulatory forums.
- Participate in relevant regional industry groups and market consultations in relation to regulatory matters. This will include leading discussions and working to influence outcomes.
- Represent Product at internal new deal forums, reviewing non-standard requirements and impacts from an APAC perspective.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to work with management at all levels. Proven ability to network throughout the firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High energy, self-starter with ability to multitask and to work effectively as a team adhering to strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills: must be able to propose solutions and recommendations and think creatively and 'out of the box'
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge and prior experience of the securities lending product and industry - minimum 3 years preferred
